Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Complete work
   • Electrical plant control measures are returned to required operational status on completion of checks, in accordance with workplace procedures
   • Appropriate personnel are notified of completion of work, in accordance with workplace procedures
   • Electrical plant problems or abnormalities are reported in accordance with workplace procedures
   • Operational check results are documented, in accordance with workplace procedures
2. Plan for electricalplant in-service checks
   • Safety issues are identified, in accordance with Work, Health and Safety (WHS)/Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislative requirements, industry standards and workplace procedures
3. Work, electrical plant and resource requirements are identified from relevant work orders and documentation, in accordance with workplace procedures
4. Electrical plant status and work requirements are confirmed with appropriate personnel or by site inspection, in accordance with workplace procedures
5. Equipment is checked for correct calibration and operation in accordance with workplace procedures
6. Correct size, type and quantity of materials and components are obtained and inspected for compliance with job specification, in accordance with workplace procedures
7. Potential hazards are identified and risk control measures are implemented in accordance with the workplace procedures,
8. Pre-access checks are carried out, in accordance with workplace procedures
9. Carry out in-service electrical checks
   • Electrical plant is operated, in accordance with workplace procedures and manufacturers' recommendations
10. Electrical plant checks are monitored, in accordance with workplace procedures, to detect deviations from normal operation
11. Electrical plant integrity and personnel safety are maintained, in accordance with workplace procedures, and through consultation with appropriate personnel and technical and operational documentation
    • Electrical plant control measures are returned to required operational status on completion of checks, in accordance with workplace procedures
12. Appropriate personnel are notified of completion of work, in accordance with workplace procedures
